Interior Remodel

bkm delivered a complete interior renovation for the Santa Paula Housing Authority, managing every phase from demolition to final furniture installation.

Scope included millwork removal, flooring demolition and repair, new carpet and laminate installation, electrical and data upgrades, interior painting throughout, thermostat replacements, and a full restroom rebuild with new underground plumbing, tile, lighting, and fixtures, all while managing client finish selections and coordination through bkm’s Construction Management and Modular Furniture teams.

HVAC and Electrical Retrofit

bkm delivered a full mechanical and roofing retrofit, coordinating the replacement of five aging HVAC units and all related electrical with a high-efficiency, seven-unit system.

The scope included extensive rooftop work — opening, weatherproofing, and closing penetrations to ensure long-term protection and performance. Roofing details were managed with precision to maintain watertight integrity throughout construction and final installation. Interior coordination included abatement oversight, patching, and finish restoration. Through careful planning with city officials and trade partners, bkm achieved a seamless, code-compliant installation that delivered durability, efficiency, and aesthetic continuity.

Interior Insulation Restoration & Performance Upgrade

bkm accessed the interior warehouse to perform targeted insulation repairs addressing age-related wear and temperature control inefficiencies.

bkm removed and replaced damaged insulation panels, reinforced vapor barriers, and ensured a secure fit around existing structural framing and lighting systems. Work was performed at height using lift access to safely reach and restore ceiling areas without disrupting active warehouse operations. The result is a cleaner, more efficient workspace with improved insulation performance and a refreshed visual appearance.
